HIMSS16 trends

Each year comes with a new set of trends for healthcare providers that are evident during the HIMSS conference. This year’s gathering was no different. Major topics ranged from women in health IT to fitness trackers, HIT security, innovation and interoperability. Attendees browsed the show floor to see the thousands of innovative new ideas and products emerging in the healthcare marketplace.

Guests had the chance to attend industry presentations and networking opportunities. The closing speaker, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, was a huge hit as he talked with Carolina Panthers NFL physician Robert A. Heyer, M.D.

While big stars and industry experts were lauded at the conference, more crowd pleasers could be found in the Exhibit Hall from March 1-3 as healthcare professionals mingled and sought health IT information and demonstrations.

Interoperability at HIMSS16
The healthcare conference defined interoperability as the ability to exchange and interpret shared data via systems and devices. Many of the exhibits and products at the 2016 Las Vegas conference were meant to further interoperability by making HIPAA compliance easier and more efficient than ever. Fujifilm is at the forefront of these companies, offering a variety of products that provide secure options for storing and sharing clinical data.

Fujifilm provided demonstrations and presentations at HIMSS booth #1024.
